West End BIZ | Social Media Accounts

Since January 4th, 2025, I’ve managed all social media channels for the West End BIZ, shaping how we communicate with more than 850 businesses and the wider Winnipeg community. Across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn, our content mix is designed to inform, highlight, and celebrate the work happening in the West End. That includes updates on BIZ programs available to members, monthly and yearly stats that show our impact, event announcements, behind-the-scenes looks at ongoing projects, and regular shoutouts that spotlight the businesses that make the neighborhood unique.
Under my management, the BIZ’s online presence has grown significantly. I’ve doubled the follower count on all three platforms and increased overall interaction by approximately 50% through consistent branding, sharper storytelling, and more intentional community engagement.
This work reflects my focus on clear communication, thoughtful design, and building an online presence that feels energetic, informative, and reflective of the West End’s character.
West End BIZ | Community Events

During summer 2025, I co-promoted the West End BIZ’s Musical Notes & Lunch Totes concert series across our social media channels. Presented in partnership with the West End Cultural Centre, this seven-week outdoor program brought live music into the neighborhood and created a lively midday experience for workers, visitors, and community members.
I supported the series by sharing weekly event reminders, day-of highlights, and post-concert recaps on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. I also photographed the concerts, capturing both performers and crowd interactions to showcase the atmosphere and sustain engagement throughout the summer.
Across its run, Musical Notes & Lunch Totes series drew roughly 250 attendees, highlighting the impact of accessible arts programming and the strong response to consistent, community-focused promotion.
West End BIZ | Summer Tour Program

In 2025, I led the promotional strategy for the West End BIZ’s summer tour program, which includes both our longstanding mural walking tours and our weekly restaurant tours. While I didn’t guide the tours myself, I developed all of the outward-facing materials that supported their success, including posters, pamphlets, and targeted external advertising. I also coordinated with six restaurants to deliver a rotating restaurant tour lineup that highlighted the depth and diversity of food in the West End. Together, these efforts helped the program reach 246 attendees, representing a 150% increase from 2024.
Red River College Polytechnic | Headshot Photography

While studying at Red River College Polytechnic, I created a slate of headshots for a class project simulating work with a real client. My subject was pursuing a career in music journalism—writing for magazines, blogs, and emerging digital platforms—so I styled and lit the shoot to capture the tone and personality commonly associated with the music industry.
Using dramatic lighting and a darker backdrop, I crafted an environment that complemented the subject’s expressive wardrobe, producing portraits that balanced professionalism with an editorial, musician-inspired aesthetic. The goal was to provide a versatile set of images the client could confidently use as they launched their career, from profile photos to promotional headshots, while showcasing my ability to tailor visual style to align with a subject’s ambitions.
Red River College Polytechnic | Publication Design

During my studies at Red River College Polytechnic, I designed a four-page publication for a class assignment aimed at promoting healthy living habits among students. I focused on creating a clean, engaging layout that combined informative content with approachable visuals to encourage positive lifestyle choices.
By carefully selecting typography, color schemes, and imagery, I crafted a publication that was both visually appealing and easy to navigate, ensuring the message resonated with the student audience. This project demonstrated my ability to communicate important health information effectively through thoughtful design while addressing the needs and interests of a specific target group.
